Residents at Marchglen Care Home enjoyed some creative fun this month, where they took some ordinary looking trinket boxes and upcycled them.
Arts and crafts activities are always enjoyed by our residents at Marchglen and this was no exception. Our residents got involved with painting some small trinket boxes, which they will keep in their bedrooms and use them for storage.
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home. Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side. Our residents love getting creative and making something individual and useful that they can keep was a fantastic idea.
