One resident from the Magna Care Centre raised money for the Parkinson’s Society charity, that looks to improve life for everyone living with Parkinson’s in the UK and to bring forward better treatments and a cure.
Roy, our wonderful Magna resident raised £157 by selling raffle tickets morning, noon and night! Jemma, a representative from Parkinson’s UK came to the home for a presentation morning and gave our residents and team a talk on Parkinson’s and how their charity helps people and what research they are carrying out to find a cure. She also accepted a cheque, presented by Roy on the day.
Huge congratulations to Roy for all his efforts and for all those who supported him by purchasing the raffle tickets. Thank you also to Jemma for coming in and telling us about what the money will be put towards.
