Residents and staff at Kippingtons, decided to go all Hawaiian this month. As a nod to ‘National Umbrella Day’, they made passion fruit, pineapple and cherry mocktails with umbrellas in the glasses.
The residents had great fun squishing, shaking and drinking the fruity cocktails, with lots of music playing to get the Hawaiian vibe going. There was also a photo booth frame with some Hawaiian themed props where the residents could have some silly fun!
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home, plus smells and scents can evoke memories of times gone by.
Kippingtons Nursing Home in Sevenoaks has 50 bedrooms within this beautiful Victorian building, with several of the bedrooms enjoying views over the beautifully landscaped gardens. The home provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis.
