The residents and team at Kingsclear Care Home marked Remembrance Day with an event in their bistro.
Harry and Amanda, the wellbeing team at the home had decorated the area with poppies and Lest we Forget messaging to mark the day which of course, provokes a lot of emotions for our residents. One in particular who previously served as a Major Sergeant in the army really appreciated the time and effort that had been put into the whole day.
Everyone got to enjoy homemade scones with prosecco as they told their stories and they were joined by a fantastic local musician who regularly visits the residents.
The special day also included everyone taking part in the respectful 2 minutes silence to remember those we have lost.
The day meant so much to all our residents and it was lovely to be able to pay homage to our soldiers.
