The residents, team, relatives and friends at Ivy Court Care Home enjoyed an afternoon of fun in the glorious summer weather as they got together for a BBQ in their gardens.
The home and garden had been decorated ready for the event with bunting and summer themed decorations, as well as a number of stalls being setup for the day including a tombola / raffle, body shop stall and some games including Hook a Duck a classic favourite. Some of the residents also made lavender bags prior to the event which were available for people to buy.
The hospitality team and chef laid on a delicious BBQ for all to enjoy with burgers, sausages and various side dishes along with refreshments. For dessert a local ice cream van came along so that everyone could get a cooling sweet treat and there were also cakes, teas and coffees available at the bistro within the home.
It was such a lovely day to see everyone together chatting, laughing and dancing with Chloe the Wellbeing Coordinator at the home commenting: “We want all of the residents to be happy here and have a fun day with all their family, friends and the staff”.
