Residents and staff at Ivy Court Care Home hosted a Halloween themed Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money in support of those affected by cancer.
Several of our residents made and decorated some Halloween treats for the coffee morning, as well as some decorations to turn the home into a spooky house. Family and friends joined us in the morning for a game of bingo, where everyone had the chance to win some lovely prizes and enjoy a drink and a slice of cake.
The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and hosting a coffee event is one of the many ways they achieve this. Coffee mornings were also held at a number of other homes across the aria care Group.
All of our pumpkins we decorated were on show, the treats made were available to purchase with a cuppa and our residents also made items such as soaps and jewellery which were prizes on the tombola!
It was an amazing morning and a great way to get everyone at Ivy Court involved! We would like to thank everyone that joined us and helped us to raise over £160 in two hours! It was a great success and it really does mean a lot to help make a difference.
