Huntercombe Hall Care Home held a summer fete for its residents, family, friends and community. Local MP John Howell opened the fete with a lovely speech and with the sun shining there was plenty to entertain.
There was the traditional hook-a-duck, guess how many sweets in the jar, face-painting and raffle. There was an adult tombola, along with an under-18s tombola, popcorn, a cake, tea & coffee sale and even a dog agility show.
Pete Watt Home Manager said: “The fete was a massive success. All our staff did an amazing job, so thank you to all. We would like to thank MP John Howell for coming and officially opening the event for us. Our families showed massive support as always, donating prizes, purchasing raffle tickets and attending, so thank you so much as well.”
Funds raised on the day are going towards our sensory garden – a fantastic £520.20!
Huntercombe Hall has 42 bedrooms, with several of them enjoying views over the delightful, landscaped gardens. The home provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis.
