The residents and team at Hulcott Nursing Home in Aylesbury held their first Aria Care Coffee Club.
We welcomed the local community, friends and relatives and had a very special visit from the Mayor of Aylesbury and Sheila from the Hulcott Parish Council.
Everyone was treated to a range of delicious cakes, tea and coffee and the Mayor said a few words to all in attendance.
As we ate cake, this gave us the chance to chat. We discussed how essential events like this are so that people in the local area do not feel isolated.
We plan to make this an ongoing event. It is a great opportunity for likeminded people from around the community to get together and make friends, take part in social activities and discuss local issues, whilst enjoying a cuppa!
Emma Fielder, home manager at Hulcott said “it is fair to say our first event was a great success and we look forward to seeing everyone at our next one for more cake, coffee and chat!”
