Garth House welcomes local schoolchildren for Christmas carols

Garth House Care Home in Dorking was filled with holiday spirit as St. Paul’s Primary School visited to celebrate the festive season. The event brought together residents, their families, and guests for an afternoon of Christmas carols and joyful conversation.

The school children, along with their teacher, led the carol singing and residents thoroughly enjoyed singing along. After the performance, everyone time chatting and sharing lots of laughs.

Some residents shared fond memories of their time at St. Paul’s Primary School, reminiscing about their school days. Resident Hilda expressed her joy, commenting, “I had such a lovely time singing and chatting with the school children. It was wonderful to share those moments with them.”

Another resident, Betty, reflected on the experience, adding, “Seeing the children singing in their uniforms brought all the childhood memories back. It was such a special moment.”

This festive visit brought generations together, creating unforgettable memories for everyone involved. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of music and community to bring joy and spark cherished memories.
