Forth Bay celebrate Gala Day with prize-winning effort

Residents and team members at Forth Bay Nursing Home recently joined in the fun of the Kincardine Children’s Gala 2025, despite a change in plans thanks to stormy weather.

Originally due to take place on the Saturday, the parade and crowning of the Gala Queen were moved to Sunday following heavy rain. That didn’t dampen the spirits at Forth Bay though, with residents heading out to enjoy the parade as it passed the home and some making their way up to the show green for the celebrations.

In the lead-up to the weekend, the home had been hard at work bringing their chosen theme – Fairy Wonderland – to life. Over the past few months, residents took part in arts and crafts to help decorate the home, while Stan helped build fairy houses as part of the display.

On the Friday, the Forth Bay team pulled out all the stops for the Gala’s Best Dressed Business competition, dressing up as fairies, unicorns, a bumblebee and even a fishing gnome with a bubble-blowing sound machine – much to the delight of residents and those passing by. All the effort paid off, with the home winning the competition.

It was a joyful weekend all round, full of colour, creativity and community spirit!
