Welcome to Rendlesham
Rendlesham Care Centre is situated close to the east coast in Suffolk in the village of Rendlesham. We are recognised by Healthcare Professionals as one of the few homes in Norfolk and Suffolk where nurses can provide care for high dependency cases which gives peace of mind should care needs change in the future.
Life at Rendlesham is centred around our residents, all of our activities are personalised and delivered as per residents interests. We do this because we care deeply from the bottom of our heart to ensure we enrich the lives of our residents in every way.
What does care from the heart mean to the team at Rendlesham?
“Treating residents with the same consideration and love that you treat your family is almost a guarantee of care from the heart.”

Keeping Things Personal
The welcoming surroundings at Rendlesham Care Home are matched by the high standard of individual care our colleagues provide to our residents.
When you arrive and throughout your stay you’re greeted with warmth, passion, and care and our community is vibrant, happy, and homely. We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team takes the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Surrounding everyone with familiarity, security and care, we make their experience with us as fulfilling as possible.

Meet the Manager
Cathrine is our Home Manager at Rendlesham Care Centre. Here’s a glimpse into her role at the home, in her own words:
“My career began as a care assistant at West Suffolk Hospital, and through hard work and dedication, I have progressed through various roles. I believe that having firsthand experience in different positions is crucial, as it allows me to truly understand the needs of all the team. One of my proudest achievements has been earning my Registered Nurse pin, as it was a key step in advancing my career. This is now my fourth position as a Registered Manager, having held the role of Registered General Nurse.
As Home Manager, I strive to lead by example, prioritising empathy, kindness, and respect in all my interactions with both residents, relatives and team members. I am passionate about empowering my team to perform to the best of their ability. To lead and inspire my team is one of the greatest privileges I have and it brings me immense satisfaction to see the happiness and smiles that fill the home – it’s infectious and uplifting for everyone. Happiness and communication are the foundation of our care and every member of our team plays a vital role in contributing to this effort.
I’ve lived in Suffolk for 42 years, and it remains a place I cherish deeply. We are fortunate to call this beautiful county home, with its stunning countryside, seaside towns, and the warm, friendly people who live here.
I am fortunate to feel incredibly supported in my role. The level of help and encouragement I have received has been outstanding, and it plays a significant part in the success of the care we provide.”
