It’s fun to reminisce the past and the residents and team at Dormy House Care Home got the local Mayor of Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead involved in the Aria Care Treasured Memories project. It was a chance to preserve their words of wisdom and memories for future generations to find, by putting together a time capsule and placing it in the grounds at the home.
The Mayor helped to bury the time capsule which was filled with pictures, letters and keepsakes from our Dormy House residents. She also went around the home and spent time meeting and chatting to our residents. There was an assortment of items sealed in the time capsule, including a dreaded Covid test!
Home Manager Joanne said, “This time capsule is a good way to reminisce about the past and all the good that happened. Our residents had a lot of fun getting involved in the project and we would like to thank the Mayor for her time today and coming to visit.”
