At Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale, Domestic Assistant Elaine has been celebrating her 15th work anniversary.
Joining Dormy House in 2009, Elaine has carried out various roles throughout her time at the home. From activities to housekeeping, she is a devoted team member who is always happy to help.
One of Elaine’s most memorable experiences was when she used to go to the river with one of the residents (her daughter was a member of a rowing club). She remembered staying out the whole day to watch people rowing because the resident wouldn’t want to leave as she enjoyed it so much.
When asked what ‘Care from the Heart’ means to her, she replied, “looking after the residents, talking to them, and being there for them.”
Home Manager Carmela said, “Elaine is very valued, reliable, and passionate about what she does. She loves engaging with residents and staff. She has the talent of keeping our surroundings clean and beautiful.”
