We love finding little ways to make big smiles here at Denham Manor, and supporting our residents to continue their passions and interests. For resident, Terry, that looked like a New Year’s Day football surprise.
Terry is a lifelong Queens Park Rangers fan, even stewarding at matches when he was younger. A little while ago, the club’s official historian came to Denham Manor to meet Terry and chat all things “Hoops’ History.”
He brought along a signed book and together they spent time reminiscing about football memories, sharing stories from years gone by, and reliving classic QPR moments. It was a wonderful nostalgia-filled afternoon, full of laughter and passion for the club Terry has loved since he was a boy.
It’s been a great start to the new year as we discovered that a photo of Terry featured in the official QPR programme from yesterday’s Championship match at Loftus Road. Terry, naturally, was absolutely delighted to see himself in print. It wasn’t the result he might have hoped for, but it’s a still a lovely memento, and another thing to add to Terry’s collection.
