Cranmer Court teams up with Marie Curie

Earlier this month, Marie Curie visited the residents and team at Cranmer Court Care Home in Warlingham for their first Life Café.

Designed in collaboration with Lab4Living, Marie Curie’s Life Cafés encourages people to participate in a series of creative activities to promote conversations about life.

Held in the activity room, the team and residents welcomed representatives from Marie Curie. Using playing cards and alphabet letters, the residents talked about what makes them happy whilst enjoying delicious cakes and refreshments.

As part of an ongoing service, Vanesa (a volunteer companion) from Marie Curie will visit Cranmer Court’s residents on a regular basis to chat and offer support.

Resident Hilda said, “We look forward to chatting with our new volunteer Vanesa.”

Wellbeing Supervisor Chris said, “This is going to be a great service for our residents”.
