Those living in our community at Brook House Care Home, have been getting ready for Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday this weekend.
Martin and Dawn from the Health & Wellbeing Team, with help from our residents, have created a ‘poppy cascade’, made decorative poppies for our ‘poppy tree’ and a photo collage depicting ‘peace in our hands’ made from residents and staff hands.
Everyone involved in helping put these displays together have enjoyed the activity and it has sparked a lot of reminiscing and sharing of stories from years gone by. If you haven’t yet seen our displays, they are proudly situated in our Reception area here at Brook House.
We shall be holding a short service of Remembrance on Sunday 12th November at 4pm in our Reception. We will be joined by scouts from 1st Towcester Scout Group and the local rector from Tove Benefice. We would love to see you, so please feel free to join us on Sunday.
