The residents and team at Beechwood Park Care Home hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds to support those affected by cancer and the children and staff from their local nursery popped by the following day to take part in the fundraising fun.
A host of sweet treats and hot beverages were on offer at the coffee morning for all to enjoy, including muffins, sponges an a bee themed cake in keeping with the outfits that the team made themselves for the day.
The next day the residents and team welcomed the children and staff from Flying Start Nursery, who had fun interacting with the giant caterpillar that was designed by Care Assistant Eilidh, the children got involved with decorating the body and as you can see from the photos below great fun was had by all!
Everyone at the home wants to thank those who baked and bought cakes and are pleased to have raised £61 for such a worthwhile cause – well done team Beechwood Park.
Home Manager Regina Mparutsa said “We think the Macmillan Coffee Morning is a great way to raise funds in the fight against cancer.
“We’re so pleased that we can get involved and help bring the community together for such a great cause and welcoming the local nursery into the home. It’s been wonderful to see so many people come together to have fun over a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee, all while raising much needed funds.”
