The women at the heart of Aria Care

To mark International Women’s Day, at Aria Care we recognise and celebrate all the women around us and the ways they enrich our lives. From mothers to daughters, colleagues to friends, we all have extraordinary women in our lives that have made us who we are.

At Aria Care, we are incredibly proud of our outstanding female team and we want to thank them for their hard work and the unwavering support they provide to our communities. Throughout our organisation, Aria Care is lucky to have such inspirational female carers, home managers and senior leaders providing care from the heart to our residents everyday.

We are especially grateful for the extraordinary work of our female senior leadership team who have truly transformed our organisation to ensure we are delivering the highest quality of care. Caroline Roberts, our Chief Executive Officer, together with Kelly Howell, our Chief People Officer, Ruth Yates, our Managing Director of Operations, and Sarah Chapman, our Director of Sales, have all led with passion and by example to create an open, and transparent environment that drives excellence.

Caroline, Kelly, Ruth and Sarah have all had different career trajectories in the sector – from Caroline, who started as a carer at the age of 15, to Ruth, who started as a Home Manager – and have now come together to spearhead Aria Care towards our aim of being the best care provider in the UK.

As our CEO, Caroline has championed a culture of listening and enablement to support our colleagues become the best they can be. Caroline has also played a pivotal role in developing our new core vision which reflects our commitment to providing exceptional quality care to our residents, enriching their lives daily. Caroline has worked hard to ensure that all colleagues are driven by our values – respect, empathy, excellence, collaboration and integrity – and feel empowered to implement them.

Caroline has also worked closely with Kelly to drive forward a people agenda, creating a sense of belonging for all colleagues. For Kelly, people are the lifeblood of Aria Care, and she is committed to ensuring that the hard work of our colleagues – from carers to home managers – is rightfully recognised and appreciated. With over 20 years’ experience working within Human Resources, Kelly has also helped create new opportunities for our colleagues, ensuring that everyone has the chance to grow and develop their skills.

For Ruth, our Managing Director of Operations, residents are always at the heart of everything we do and, in her role, she has championed this belief from day one. With a background as a Registered Nurse and Home Manager, Ruth has always taken a hands-on approach, working closely with our colleagues to help us achieve excellence as a standard in all of our communities.

Our Director of Sales and Marketing, Sarah, has equally championed a can-do attitude while leading our high-performance sales and marketing teams. In her role, Sarah values developing strong relationships with our residents and communities and is well known for her dedication to providing the best service to all those supported by Aria Care.

Aria Care would not be in the position we are today if it were not for the hard work of all our female leaders and our wider team of dedicated carers and home managers. On International Women’s Day we want to express our gratitude for their dedication to create the perfect place for the people we care for, and for all their efforts to make them feel safe, comfortable and fulfilled during their time with us.

We also want to take this opportunity to celebrate the over 1,400 wonderful women who live within our communities. Each day, listening to their inspiring stories bring an abundance of joy to all of our colleagues, and we are truly privileged that they have chosen Aria Care to be their home.

We know that in order to be the best care provider in the UK, we must champion equal opportunity and we are committed to ensuring that all women at Aria Care are valued and celebrated.
