Daren Dalmedo, one of Aria Care’s Regional Directors, will be facing his fears in June, undergoing various Bushtucker Trials whilst fundraising for Crossroads Care Surrey.
I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here! is set to return on Friday 7th June. Two teams of directors will go head-to-head, taking on challenges that will include creepy crawlies, unappealing cuisine, physical activities, and a gunging of the losing team!
Daren explained why he was taking part, “Unpaid carers play a vital role in our society. Around 1.5 million unpaid carers in England & Wales spend more than 50 hours each week caring for older or disabled relatives.
It was an easy decision to support Crossroads Care Surrey and raise awareness of these amazing people in our society. Its vitally important that they have time to look after themselves so they can keep caring for longer. Crossroads Care Surrey helps them achieve this.”
Crossroads Care Surrey provide information, advice and practical support to all unpaid carers, their families and the people for whom they care. Over £19,000 was raised last year at the inaugural event which was held at Thames View.
