Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common recently celebrated a big day for one of our residents, Anne – her son, Peter, and his wife, Clare’s wedding. Unfortunately, Anne wasn’t able to attend the wedding so we arranged a special day for her to celebrate with her family.
Peter and Clare tied the knot the weekend prior and were excited to celebrate their union with Peter’s Mum and Dad and the rest of the family at Abbeycrest with a lovely Sunday Lunch.
Our hospitality team didn’t disappoint as usual and put together a fabulous roast with the choice of leg of lamb or salmon and a delicious apple strudel for dessert. Our colleague, Miguel, took great care of everyone who described him as being a ‘fantastic maitre d’ for the day!’
Anne and her family had a wonderful day, with Peter saying, “the food was really delicious and it was so nice that we could enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch together. We all had a really lovely time!”
