Wyfold Riding for the Disabled hosted an afternoon tea for residents at Abbeycrest Nursing Home where one of the charity’s retired coaches now lives.
Annie Wilson, formerly one of the Thursday Team, brought the residents along to show them where she used to be a volunteer for more than 35 years.
The visitors were given a warm welcome and were able to meet the ponies and enjoy the touch of a warm, velvety nose.
Annie recounted old times with Pippa Hughes, a founder of the charity who has been a volunteer for more 50 years.
Gillian Rushworth, fundraising co-ordinator, said: “The residents had a lovely day and made special thank-you cards for the volunteers.”
