At Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common, we are celebrating after holding our second food festival of the year.
The local community were invited to the home to explore and enjoy the delightful treats that were on offer. A number of stalls offered various food items from baked goods to freshly baked pizza and Vietnamese street food. There was a chance to taste a locally crafted beer, and even a locally brewed gin and rum.
In addition, guests were entertained by local band Peppard Unplugged and had the opportunity to meet some furry friends!
Families, friends, and members of the community came together enjoying locally crafted food and drink whilst taking in the stunning surrounding countryside, making the event a resounding success.
Sue Smart, General Manager at Abbeycrest commented, “we were thrilled to welcome the community to our home for this wonderful festival. This event provides a unique opportunity to bring the community together and showcases the amazing work being done by local people, in the local area for the local community.”
Guests were also able to take guided tours of the home, meet the team, and learn more about the services Abbeycrest has to offer.
