A Heartwarming Morning at Stowford House for Macmillan Coffee Morning
Last Friday, Stowford House was alive with warmth, laughter, and community spirit as we gathered together for a truly special Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was filled with cheerful chatter and the irresistible smell of freshly baked cakes. Residents, families, friends, and staff all came together to share in a morning of connection, kindness, and delicious treats — and it couldn’t have been more uplifting.
The lounge was beautifully decorated with bunting and bright table settings, setting the perfect scene for a morning of enjoyment. Guests were treated to a gorgeous spread of homemade cakes, cupcakes, and biscuits, all lovingly baked by residents families and our talented kitchen team. Every bite was a reminder of the care and generosity that makes our Stowford House community so special.
In between cups of tea and coffee, there were plenty of opportunities for light-hearted fun. Residents joined in some memory games and quizzes, sparking wonderful conversations and shared laughter. It was lovely to see families and staff joining in too, creating such a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Every single donation from the morning is going directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to fund vital services for people affected by cancer. Together, we’ve contributed to a cause that makes a real difference — ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.
