Residents and team members from Belmont House Care Home in Sutton marked Emergency Services Day on 9th September with cakes, treats and heartfelt thanks for their local heroes.
In the morning, the Belmont House team delivered homemade cakes and sweet treats to the local ambulance station as a way of showing their appreciation for the tireless work of paramedics and ambulance staff.
Later in the day, the home welcomed members of the local fire service, who gave a fascinating talk about their work. Residents then enjoyed sharing tea and cakes with the firefighters, sparking scintillating conversation and lots of smiles.
Customer Relations Manager, Kelly Longhurst, said, “We are so thankful for everything our emergency services do for us and our community every single day. It was a privilege for our residents to show their appreciation and spend time with both the ambulance crew and fire service on such a special occasion.”
The celebrations brought residents, staff and emergency services together in a spirit of gratitude and community, highlighting the important bonds that connect Belmont House with those who help keep Sutton safe.
