Stretching into Wellness: Residents Enjoy Yoga at Chestnut View

A Moment of Mindfulness: Weekly Yoga at Chestnut View

At Chestnut View Care Home, promoting wellbeing through movement and mindfulness is an important part of daily life – and today was no exception, as residents gathered in the lounge for their much-loved weekly yoga session.

Led by Angella, a local yoga teacher known across Haslemere for her community-based sessions at the Hasleway Community Hub, as well as other local venues. She brings a familiar and welcome presence to Chestnut View, and her sessions are always eagerly anticipated by residents who enjoy keeping active in a gentle and supportive way. Unsurprisingly the class brought a calming and uplifting energy to the home.

The group focused on a series of light stretches, mindful breathing, and seated poses designed to improve flexibility, support mobility, and encourage relaxation. The atmosphere was one of peaceful concentration and shared positivity, with residents appreciating both the physical and emotional benefits of the session.

Regular activities such as yoga reflect Aria Care’s commitment to holistic, person-centred wellbeing – supporting not just the physical health of residents, but also their mental and emotional resilience.

The team at Chestnut View are proud to offer enriching experiences like this, which help residents remain active, engaged, and connected to the wider community.
