Intergenerational day of fun at Stowford House for Care Home Open Week

Stowford house care home open week

As Stowford House Care Home in Abingdon, celebrated Care Home Open Week the residents and team welcomed children from the local Carswell School for a heartwarming visit. Care Home Open Week is an annual event that encourages care homes to open their doors to the public, showcasing the services they offer and is an opportunity to form and develop  local community connections.

The children and residents had a wonderful day together, sharing special moments across generations as they spent time playing games, flower painting and enjoying time outside for some garden walks. It really was a day filled with joy and smiles all around.

Audrey, a resident at the home enjoyed the visit so much that she took the opportunity to thank the teachers “for bringing such wonderful energy to the home.”

Everyone at the home wanted to thank all those that came along and look forward to welcoming the children back soon for another visit.
