Aria in Bloom community collaborations at Mill House

Mill House Aria in Bloom

The residents and team at Mill House Care Home in Chipping Campden have been busy in their gardens sprucing them up ready for summer as part of the Aria in Bloom campaign, making the most of the recent glorious weather. With a mixture of potting new flowers to add bursts of colour and sowing seeds, adding string lights for ambience in the evening,  through to one resident Tony who took on the project of building new wooden planters there has been a lot going on. Tony took a trip over to Cotswolds Friends ‘Mens in Sheds’ to work with them and lend a hand in building some new wooden planters for all to enjoy.

Alongside the Men in Sheds volunteers, Tony got stuck in and put his woodworking skills to good use, which was wonderful to see. The planters are already home to some beautiful new flowers as part of the transformation project, helping to brighten up the outdoor space.

Work continues but early photos show just how wonderful the outdoor spaces are now looking and they will only get better as flowers bloom throughout summer, ideal for the residents and team to make the most of it in the coming months as they enjoy their time outside in the fresh air.

Everyone at Mill House would like to say a big thank you to all that got involved and to our local community for their support, we appreciate the Men in Sheds having Tony along and supporting our initiative, we look forward to watching our garden transform as we carry on  and it becomes a relaxing haven for our residents.
