Celebrating International Firefighters’ Day with Our Local Heroes
At Southborough Nursing Home, community is at the heart of everything we do. This International Firefighters’ Day, we are proud to honour and express our heartfelt thanks to the brave men and women of the London Fire Brigade for their unwavering dedication to keeping us all safe.
We were truly delighted to welcome John Griffin and his fantastic team from Surbiton Fire Station to one of our homes for a very special visit. Residents and team members alike enjoyed the opportunity to share a warm cuppa, exchange stories, and learn more about the life and work of our local firefighters.
The visit was filled with laughter, curiosity, and moments of genuine connection – a beautiful reminder of the power of community spirit. Our residents were particularly touched by the kindness and time given so freely by the crew, and it was inspiring to see such admiration and appreciation shared between generations.
