Priory Court Care Home in Epsom recently celebrated Aria in Bloom, bringing residents, families, and the Lifestyle team together to refresh their courtyard and garden. Fiona, the Lifestyle Lead, organised donations from B&Q, including pots and plants, which helped breathe new life into the space.
Everyone got involved in the project, from preparing the garden and planting new plants to painting benches and raised flower beds. Resident Brian took the lead in painting the benches, concentrating hard to make sure it looked just right.
The garden now boasts lots of new features to its sensory area with vibrant colours and inviting scents – flowers, herbs, and a fruit garden, with tomatoes and strawberries among the first to show as well as bright sunflowers, bunting, and butterfly decorations adorning the fences.
Pam, a resident, expressed her delight at the transformation, saying, “It looks beautiful, and I can admire it from my bedroom!”
Thanks to everyone’s hard work, the garden at Priory Court looks fantastic, providing a welcoming space for residents to enjoy and take pride in.
