The community at Oaken Holt Care Home were lucky enough to welcome The Dot Collective into the grounds of the home where they put on an excellent show.
The Dot Collective are a charity who provide professional theatre to those in care. Their shows help reduce isolation and create positive experiences for those living with dementia. The company tour around the country putting on open-air, aerial circus productions. These are adapted from Lewis Carroll’s classic tale ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.
We were exceptionally lucky with the beautiful sunshine on the day. We had a number of people from the local community join us, including Dementia Oxfordshire and a local school. Friends and family of our residents also joined us for the show,. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day with us, as well as the amazing food that Chef Janos prepared for us all.
The overall feedback was incredible, our Home Manager Michael declared that “the day was a superb success and our residents, and their families had a fabulous time!”.
