We had a double celebration this Easter weekend at Coxhill Manor Nursing and Residential Home in Chobham, not only were we visited by the Easter bunny but we also celebrated a Golden Wedding Anniversary.
We started our Easter with a service online with Church of England which included a lot of our resident’s favourite Easter hymns which were meaningful to them. Following this the Easter bunny visited everyone with chocolate eggs to enjoy!
We welcomed Eloise and Tom from ‘Mini Concerts’ who performed a wonderful Easter Eggstravaganza of songs in the afternoon which got everyone singing and dancing.
Our Easter celebrations were then topped off by being able to celebrate the Golden Wedding Anniversary of our resident Miriam and her husband Jack who visits daily. She commented “he is my absolute world”.
Their son Dave and his wife and their granddaughter also joined us for their celebrations, which were held in the conservatory and many residents came along as they wanted to congratulate them on their special day. The family then also enjoyed a private celebration in the bistro where they marked the occasion with champagne and cake!
