Belmont House Care Home host a Macmillan Coffee Morning

Belmont House Care Home Macmillan Coffee Morning

The residents and team at Belmont House Care Home hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds to support those affected by cancer.

A host of sweet treats and hot beverages were on offer for all to enjoy as family, friends and healthcare visitors joined everyone at the home to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.

There were a number of cakes to enjoy which were baked by the hospitality team at the home including a carrot cake, chocolate cake, almond cake, victoria sponge and delicious cupcakes. The Carrot Cake proved very popular with the visitors and they all passed on their compliments and thanks to the team at the home.

The home often hosts fundraising activities for charitable organisations and hosting a coffee morning is one of the many ways they achieve this. Coffee mornings were also held at a number of other homes across the aria care Group.

Home manager Arthur Tanare said: “We’re so pleased that we can get involved and help bring the community together for such a great cause. It’s been wonderful to see so many people come together to have fun over a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee, all while raising much needed funds.”

As a result of the event the home has raised over £80 – well done Team Belmont House!

The first Macmillan Coffee Morning took place in 1990 and since then, the event has raised over £290 million.

In 2021, the charity raised over £11 million and they hope to be able to top that this year.
