At Oaken Holt Nursing and Residential Home in Farmoor we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.
Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Meet with likeminded people and build a support network
1st Thursday 2.30 pm– Parkinsons
2nd Thursday 2.30 pm – Stroke
3rd Thursday 2.30 pm – Dementia Friendly Cinema
4th Thursday 11.00 pm – COPD and lung conditions
Information on each of the themes will be available as well as signposting to support services in the community.
